Did Jesus have grandparents? After all,
His mother was not much more than a girl
When she birthed a savior for the world
Whose kingdom, ruled in peace, would never fall.
Inspiration did not touch the hearts
Of Matthew, Mark, Luke, or John, it seems
To tell of his grandparents or their dreams
And so I come to ponder on that part.
That they loved him would have been quite clear
And as grandparents they would've had much to do
Imparting strength and wisdom, ever true
Gifts of grace that reach beyond the years.
Grandparents of Jesus would have found much joy
As they nurtured Mary’s precious boy.
